eLegal's – ABATE of SC

Who we are –

The eLegals is a virtual chapter of ABATE of SC, a motorcycle rider organization fighting for biker rights in South Carolina. This chapter was formed as an avenue for information for members who for many reasons cannot attend a live sit-down chapter meeting but want to be involved in biker rights. A member can stay on top of the current legislative efforts being done by ABATE in SC and obtain information on candidates running for a position on the Board of Directors in order to make an informed decision for their vote.

What we Are –

A virtual chapter that meets using an electronic interface six times a year (unless a special meeting is called)

When we Meet –

Every other month starting in February of every new year.  We meet on the last Monday of these months at 6:30pm – virtually, February, April, June, August, October and December.

Where we meet –

Your kitchen, your living room, backyard patio or virtually anywhere in the US using your cell phone, tablet or personal computer.

WHY THE NEED –

Per ABATE of SC’s constitution, a member must attend meetings to receive information to make an informed decision to vote for candidates of office or on current ABATE legislation. Although many join ABATE because they believe in fighting for motorcyclist rights, they are not interested in going to live chapter meetings or there may not be one in their area.  This is a chapter that meets this requirement for you as a member to have a VOICE.

HOW –

Members are sent a URL link to the meeting a week before and on the day of the chapter meeting. Any information needed for consideration or vote is also sent in the email. Voting polls are sent by email to the members or taken in the meeting by virtual vote depending on the voting content.
